Dear Grade K Parents and Students:
Welcome to science. The Kindergarten students have science once a week.
- Class K-231 on Friday
- Class K-233 on Thursday
Topic #1: Living & Nonliving Things: We will do some sorting games to learn the way scientists sort all things.
Topic 2: Mealworms: We will observe and learn about the life cycle of a mealworm.
Topic 3: Science Fair: Kindergartners will work together as a class investigating a plant project. All Science Fair work will be done in my classroom later this year.
Parent Component on Tuesdays: I will send home a letter with a date for you to come to my room and see some of the activities I am doing with your child in science. It will take place about 2:45 to 3:20 on a designated Tuesday.
Contact information: If you have any questions or concerns, you can e-mail me at: firstname.lastname@example.org. You can expect my response usually within 48 hours. You may also call the school. I am usually at school by 7:30 A.M.
Picture Permission: if you would like your child to be in any pictures during science, you will need to fill out and sign both sides of the permission forms. One side is for the garden grant. The other side would be for activities such as the Science Fair.
Working together, your child will excel in science.
Thank you very much for your help and support,
