5th Grade Extra Credits are due Oct 25
Dear Parents & Students:
We are reaching the end of this marking period, (Oct 26)! I know a few of the students are working on Extra Credits.
Extra Credits must be turned in by Oct. 25 to count for this marking period.
Five (5) Extra Credits may raise the Science Skills & Thinking portion to a 3+.
Ten (10) Extra Credits may raise the Science Skills & Thinking potion to a 4.
How to get Extra Credits.
- Your child can read a book, research a topic, do an experiment or watch a science show. They are expected to write up a detailed report of the science facts that were discussed or tested. They may add their opinions or ideas to their reports. It must be at least 5 paragraphs long;.
- Your child can make Vocabulary Flash Cards. Every 10 cards equal 1 extra credit.
- Vocabulary Word List with the meanings of the words. Every 10 words with meanings equal 1 extra credit.
- Your child may also do workbook pages that were not assigned any time during the school year as extra credit.
Please be sure your child has their name and class on any extra credit turned in to me. Please do NOT force your child to do any extra credits.
If your child will not have enough to affect his/her grade. I suggest that your child turns them in after Nov 1. These will go to the next Marking Period.
