Welcome Back!

Students, parents and teachers have hit the ground running and the school year is off to a great beginning! This year promises to be full of wonderful learning opportunities that will help students to build ownership of their learning and foster great family partnerships.

Our first ever Take “Dad” (or other special family member)To School Day was very well attended with over 200 particip

ants coming to visit their children’s classrooms and engage in various learning activities that will help promote strong family-community ties. Way to go parents!

Based on the success of our school’s Wondrous Wednesday in May of 2016, we are looking forward to inviting families to our new once a month Teaching and Learning Community Days. Our next one, Thrilling Thursday, will take place on Thursday, October 20th from 9:00 – 9:45.

Big News! This year we will embark on an exciting new venture – Student Led Parent Conferences which will take place in November. You will be hearing more about this initiative during Back to School /Meet the Teacher Night and at our PTA meeting on Thursday, September 22, 2016.
